For Scope #61 we present talks by our 3 invited artists: Susi Sie, Quadrature and Doron Sadja.
Between Art and Science
Susi Sie will give an introduction and background into how she came to the idea of filming liquids and particles and why she is working strictly analog only. Susi will present her recent showreel, Including her Large scale projection project for the opening ceremony of the RIO Olympics! Plus photos of her working process, studio, private projects as well as client projects.
Personal views on objective data
Quadrature is a collective for arts, light and robotics. Formed by Juliane Götz, Sebastian Neitsch & Jan Bernstein.
We wil host Juliane from Quadrature, who will speak about their current works and projects, possible cooperations between art and science from an artist perspective and artistic practice in relation to data as material.
Mapping the Perceptual Landscape
In “Mapping the Perceptual Landscape”, Doron Sadja will give an overview of his practice followed by a discussion of auditory and visual phenomena, approaches to site specific performance, and the importance of losing control of your electronic instruments.
