After some very intense and beautiful, crazily exciting and also exhausting days at Itanda Falls on the blue river Nile at Nyege Nyege Festival 2022 and super creative days at Villa Nyege in Kampala, where the Afro Polli Nation residencies took place — we would like to gather again and listening to the new output of artists who have been creating new works there. Ami aus Versehen
Marlene Bellissimo (stage name Avelo) is a Berlin-based comedian who makes videos about her life on Tiktok and Instagram. In her first monologue “Ami aus Versehen” she talks about her experience of growing up as a boy in the US, moving to Berlin as an adult, her transition as a trans woman and what it means to feel “in-between” in a tense political time.
