Exhibition: 19 February – 12 March 2022
Artists: Kim Asendorf, LaTurbo Avedon, Sarah Friend, LIA, Jonas Lund, Rhea Myers, Rafaël Rozendaal, Cornelia Sollfrank, Harm van den Dorpel↓On the occasion of panke.gallery’s 5 year anniversary, we trace back current discussions and developments in digital art and, making use of the multifaceted framework of generative art, draw a line from early netart activities to recent artistic interpretations and applications of blockchain art.
The exhibition NfTNeTArT – from Net Art to Art NFT brings together nine international artists that use algorithmic or generative systems as their artistic language. Their tools are digital codes and automatisms, which manifest themselves in a variety of unique and fascinating aesthetics. Confronting recent technologies and blockchain applications, the artists’ strategies range from aesthetic or narrative, to critical or rather performative investigations. They equally explore the limits and possibilities of NFTs.
Featuring historical net art activities next to very recent works developed specifically for the occasion, the exhibition creates a dialogical environment in which classic network phenomena and cutting-edge technologies interact.
The exhibition has been developed in cooperation between panke.gallery and OFFICE IMPART and will be shown physically in both spaces and digitally at https://jpg.space

Noche de Tonada (Noche de Bullerengue)
Bullerengue, one of Colombia’s most powerful Afro-Colombian rhythms, comes to Berlin for one night only.
The event takes place on the 6th of September starting at 19:00.
Bullerengue, one of Colombia’s most powerful Afro-Colombian rhythms, comes to Berlin for one night only. Ten years ago, a group of students in Barranquilla went straight to the source — the bullerengue festivals of Puerto Escondido, Necoclí, and María la Baja — to learn from the tradition’s living singers. That group became Tonada, now one of the reference groups keeping traditional bullerengue alive: three lead voices, tambora, and strings, with Mathieu Ruz known for channeling the cry of the genre’s traditional cantadoras.
Palo Santo, Calentura, and Somos are joining forces to bring this rare Colombian music performance to Berlin — a live bullerengue concert at Panke Culture, not a cover, not a fusion, the tradition itself, unfiltered.

Join us on 9 September at Panke Club to celebrate the release of our new album BEING! We’re excited to share the evening with Laure Boer and Rabih Beaini!
Seven years after our first album, CONTAGIOUS, we’re excited to finally present our second release, BEING, on Morphine Records.
Inspired by the wide range of life forms found in nature, the track titles are once again dedicated to species that challenge binary notions of sex.
We’re especially honored to have three wonderful guest musicians featured on the album: Sofia Jernberg on Comb Jelly, Valentina Magaletti on Boa constrictor, and Andrea Belfi on Smithii Ants.
Laure Boer’s music is inspired by noise music and traditional folk. Her performances are hypnotic improvisations around traditional instruments, electroacoustic and DIY-electronic objects, and sometimes a voice, singing or reciting in her native French; a vibrant universe that is both vulnerable and brutal.
Contagious is a solid blending of avant-garde experimentation and electronic music. Founded in Berlin in 2018 by two innovative voices from the Berlin Improvisation scene (Andrea Neumann and Sabine Ercklentz) and Mieko Suzuki, a well-crafted and creative DJ and musician who’s operating in Berlin venues and festivals since a long time.
Rabih Beaini’s Lebanese-born producer and DJ Rabih Beaini (formerly known as Morphosis) specializes in grainy, imaginative analogue techno. His genuine musical ability and a range of influences—from krautrock to new wave—seep into his inventive, dark, and emotional productions and immersive DJ sets.
