LAST RESORT celebrates its second anniversary with another night focusing on evolving forms of club music across different scenes and geographies, bringing together artists operating at the intersection of rhythm-driven experimentation and dancefloor functionality. Mun Sing, the Bristol-based producer, presents an approach that combines warped vocals, fractured rhythms and theatrical structures into playful and fiercely original dance music. Not to miss is the first ever Berlin performance by jaijiu, an Argentinian audiovisual artist known for distinctive vision that reimagines the folklore through a broken lens – ‘carnival sounds shattered with a hammer’ might sum it up best. Mobilegirl, a club scene stalwart, will make a long-awaited appearance at Last Resort with her dancefloor-focused mix seamlessly weaving different genres while Egyptian DJ Rama will bring a dynamic, high-tension selection revolving around dense percussive sounds. Last but not least, Dengue Dengue Dengue return to Panke with a batch of exciting new material to be released throughout this year.
