Kebrada and Basy Tropikalne – now adapting a name LAST RESORT for the event series – are back with the next party featuring a bunch of unique performances.
Percussion-driven territories will be covered by two exciting artists – Mexico’s Loris will make her exclusive Berlin appearance with a highly danceable blend of Latin and Arabic influences mirroring her dual cultural identity while London-based TSVI, one of the key figures of the European underground club music scene, will present his renowned stripped-back selection. The event brings also a first ever European show for Yajaira La Beyaca, an intriguing Venezuelan sensation who will be joined on stage by Colombian producer Genosidra for a hybrid set full of experiments and influences ranging from reggaeton to changa tuki via noise. Last but not least, the line up is completed by Venezuela’s Phran (who, among other things, played at an Arca-headlined Boiler Room in Caracas this year) and Kebrada bosses Dengue Dengue Dengue.

For this session of Outside the Big Mac, dedicated to artists connected in different ways to the legacy of the post-punk era, we open the evening with Ran Huber (amSTART). His contribution will take the form of a conversation around DIY culture and Berlin’s long-standing tradition of making art outside of growth-driven ambitions. The live program brings together Chris Imler and Cosey Mueller, two artists from different generations whose work blends post-punk sensibilities with electronic music. Mat Pogo — improv punk musician, producer, DJ, and cartoonist — will present a short, voice-only micro-performance. To close the night, Caillou, former curator at Urban Spree and current force behind Milk Me, will deliver a selection of synth-driven tracks spanning new wave and EBM. FRANCOS PAIN flies us um die ears with an exciting solo setup through atmospheric post punk songs, far from rigid song structures, and still always catchy ~ KRESSE 3 bring us back down to earth of tatsachen with driving grooves and poetic lyrics, playing their first show since their sold out album release party this summer The safe landing, which might get pretty turbulent though~ WHISKER as final act takes us through eccentric prog and experimental rock worlds and are definitely the most nerven zerreibender act tonight ~ Come join us from 7pm, show starts at 8pm.
