MORWAN is a project by Kyiv musician Alex Ashtawi. Morwan is a rhythmic fast-paced punk with elements
of folk and ethno music.
The tracks combine the rhythmic basis of post-punk with Arabic and Slavic motifs. Fast, dark, original and
even ritual music.
The project was launched in 2019. During its existence, two albums were released, namely: “Ubila Mogila” (2019) and “Zola-Zemlya” (2020).
The flourishing Eastern European post-punk scene has given way to a boom of dark, rhythmic, and powerful new activity.
Morgan became one of the most original and captivating artists to recently emerge from this scene is Kyiv.
Searching for a new direction, Ashtaui circled back to his half-Ukrainian, half-Arab roots, arriving at the perfect crossroads – a sonic aesthetic informed by both ethnic tradition
and the familiar territory of dark,
driving post-punk.

Apollo Brown
Apollo Brown is a hip-hop producer based in Detroit. In the tradition of unconventional beatmakers like the great J Dilla and Madlib, Brown is a man of many influences whose sound owes as much to the yacht rock of Seals & Crofts as it does to classic R&B, drawing from all corners of the music world to create beats that are as musically interesting as they are rhythmic. His extensive discography includes guest appearances, instrumental albums and full collaborations with MCs such as Big Pooh, Che’ Noir, Guilty Simpson, Joell Ortiz, Locksmith, O.C., Philmore Greene, Planet Asia, Raheem DeVaughn, Ras Kass, Stalley, Skyzoo and many more. Brown was part of the hip-hop crews The Left and Ugly Heroes.
Marco Polo
Marco Polo’s production credits quickly gained weight, with collaborations with legends such as Rakim, Westside Gunn, Scarface, Phaorahe Monch, Talib Kweli, Masta Ace and Sean Price. MP’s discography of features, collaborations and solo projects grew steadily, leading to the release of the critically acclaimed “Port Authority” in 2007. This debut production album – featuring a who’s who of MC heavyweights such as Large Professor, Kool G Rap and Buckshot – was a career milestone that secured his place as one of the most respected beatmakers of the new school.
FUKSTEP
A new queer party for bass heads, FUKSTEP features live sets from Monstera Black and Alys, a hybrid set by Jaf Ge Nos and a back-to-back from founder Fukinsei and Ben Sleia.
The event takes place on the 20th of March starting at 20:00:00.
Fukstep comes to Berlin for a more experimental bass music edition. For the first time at the Panke you will see electric guitars next to dusty dancehall records and listen to less structured and linear songwriting embedded in a play of light and shadow of bass music.

Fukstep is a queer party for bad spouts. Is a movement linked to sound system culture and all the hybridisations the new school has forged. With a desecrating and inclusive approach to music, it proposes projects that explore the generative underground.
We are openly committed to creating a safe, welcoming, LGBTQIA+ and allies environment free from sexism, racism, ableism, transphobia and any form of toxic behaviour. We have a zero-tolerance policy for violence and any form of abuse.
