The event takes place on the  1st of November starting at  22:00.

Greetings to one and all,

The Roots Daughters and Panke invite you to a night full of vibes, exclusive du plate and vinyl selections, live mc-ing and feminine energy.
Put on your dancing shoes and come jam with us while we are breaking down barriers with the uplifting power of reggae music – LIONESSES ROAR!

Feminine Hi-Fi is a project born in 2016 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Their goal is to emphasize the role of women in sound system culture and promoting reggae as a tool of resistance against all forms of oppression and discrimination. Their musical selection takes you on a journey through all eras of Jamaican music and correlated Brazilian productions, uplifted by a live freestyle on the instrumental flipside of the vinyl (so called “riddims”) by brazilian recording artist Aghata Saan

local support:
Roots Daughters were founded in 2009 – a duo of serious soundsystem addicts and roots music lovers from Pula (Croatia). After years of being part of Dub Lab Crew in Ljubljana (Slovenia), they continue their mission in Berlin in 2013.
Their focus lies in creating a safe space for female* artists and selectresses, promoting events which represent the female activists in the scene.
Heavily inspired by jamaican soundsystem culture, they use the sessions as a platform for networking, sharing knowlegde, developing skills and empowering one another.
Another goal is to acknowlegde and pay tribute to the great female* artists which have been criminally underrated or unheard of in the past by playing their tunes to help spread the message in the music – Equal rights and justice for all!
In their sets you can hear reggae and dub in all it’s beauty & versatility from foundation to 2019 – and you can always count on surprises regarding genre and style.

All tribes welcome ♥
No racism, fascism, sexism, homophobia in the dance!
Love we a deal with!
