FEM Workshop – CDJ for beginners w/ LINNEA

As part of our FEM (Flinta enabling movement) events, we present a second workshop on 11.06.2023 with Linnea. The workshop will take place from 17:00-19:00h.

About LINNÉA:
Born in Sweden and based in Berlin since over a decade, Linnéa Palmestål is known as the former main teacher/mentor and co-founder of No Shade, an event series and collective focusing on teaching and mentoring beginner DJ’s. After many years as resident DJ at the popular TRADE party at OHM, she is now focusing more on music production with new releases to be expected in the near future.

What to expect?
The workshop will start with some basic music theory, then we’ll go through some DJ terminology plus mixing techniques, as well as a quick intro to rekordbox prepping.

Fri30Oct

The event takes place on the 30th of October starting at 23:00:00.

This edition of Fukstep is dedicated to a punk approach to soundsystem music. 4 live sets, including one live debut, and artists who devour the stage! Punk dancehall, breaks, trap, dubstep, noisy grime, jungle and footwork: these are the sounds that’ll wreck you on the dancefloor!

GROVE (UK) LIVE
𝙋𝙪𝙣𝙠, 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡, 𝘿𝙪𝙗𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙥, 𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚
Be ready for Bristol-based producer and vocalist Grove, who makes militant music for the sensually inclined. Grove draws influences from punk, dancehall, dubstep, jungle, and pyromaniac electronics. Fresh off opening for Skunk Anansie’s tour, they are ready to galvanize the masses with urgency and raw energy.

LABREYLIEN (UK) LIVE
𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙙𝙧𝙪𝙢𝙨, 𝙐𝙆 𝙨𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙚 𝙧𝙖𝙥, 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙙-𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙨
labreylien is a British multi-instrumentalist, performer and musician based in Berlin. The press has called her the female version of Sleaford Mods, but honestly, there’s nothing quite like a rapper who plays live drums and does punk at the same time. As a drummer, she has shared stages with Beatsteaks, Die Toten Hosen, The Fall, Faith No More, Peter Hook (Joy Division), The Ruts DC, Foals, The Buzzcocks, and many more.

FUTURA CIMICE LIVE DEBUT
𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙨 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘
As the label that supported her, all we want for her debut dancefloor-oriented album is for it to take shape live. And we made it happen: futura cimice will be playing her “System Crash Tools” live for the first time

MC TRANNY SUPREME LIVE
𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙥, 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙨
MC Tranny Supreme stays bold but never takes himself too seriously. His flows are unpredictable and experimental, riding a unique sauce of trap, Memphis, and bass-scapes that almost hint at G-Funk, repping all the unrepresented trans-gees and gangstresses who need a seat at the table.

FUKINSEI
3-𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙅𝙪𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙠, 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙩𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙪𝙢
Not much introduction needed. They are the mastermind behind this night’s insane curation, and as always, they’ll take you on a sweat-drenched journey blending footwork, jungle, jungletek, Memphis, dubstep, and whatever unexpected madness comes next.

AMIRUZ
𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙝 𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙪𝙥
She is a selector with a deep affinity for Reggae and Dub and unexpected, offbeat releases from all corners of the world. She’ll open the evening for your ears
