Çaykh & Esclé (Seltene Erden)
Seltene Erden is the new project of Çaykh, (Circuit Diagram, Golden Pudel) and Esclé (Pracht, Wisp Fstvl). Together they focus on organic, percussive, tribal music within contemporary experimental club culture. Ritualdancemusic on the gap between synthesized music, Dub, Ambient and ancient tribe rhythms.
As ‘Seltene Erden’, Simon and Nicolas regularly host ethnic musicians within the contemporary Berlin weekend. They recently got an invitation for the newly established music festival Outernational Days in Bukarest.
Nicolas, a long time explorer of east Africa, has recently focused on collecting never-released music in Somalia, journeying door-to-door in search of dusty recordings. With Vik Sohonie of Ostinato Records, he‘s working on a Somali-Compilation which will be released in autumn this year.
Esclé’s main effort is the work as an culture-creator and curator in several projects mostly based on music history and culture in the wide field. He‘s one of the heads of the well-respected Sinstruct Festival. With another project called Kraut & Drastik he has been involved in the curation of the compilation “Who’s That Man – A Tribute To Conny Plank”, one of the main producers of so called Kraut music.
Menqui (Past Forward)
Menqui is a Berlin based dj & digger constantly on the hunt for musical treasures ranging from disco over cosmic, synth pop, wave, proto house and many other fields. Besides sharing his music from behind the decks he has also been involved in a variety of different projects – f.e. by contributing a remix to Don’t DJ’s release on ‘Planet Almanac’ or hosting the ‘Larifari’ and ‘Non Dogma’ party series. Rumors are that there might even be a connection to the infamous, yet mysterious ‘Serious Trouble’ releases.
With Jochen Discomeyer and 0x4644 he is host of ‘Past Forward’ a monthly radio programme on cashmereradio.com, where they present open-minded listening sessions with diverse collages of music.
Mad Lubi (etcetera)
driftwood from the Low-German beach bringing herb beats and stormy synth lines, drowning in his record collection, always staying afloat and anchored.
