Nappy Nina / @nappy_nina
Stas THEE Boss / @stastheeboss
Brooklyn based rapper Nappy Nina has carved out a distinctive niche within contemporary hiphop. Her storytelling skills and conversational but precise flow have seen the MC collaborate widely over the course of a young career, with figures ranging from hiphop veterans such as Quelle Chris and Stas Thee Boss, to DIY and avant garde musicians such as Moor Mother.
Growing up inn Oakland, she soaked up the confident sounds of the thriving West Coast hiphop scene of the 1990s, and made associations with writers and poets in the Bay Area and in the slam poetry community. After moving to New York in 2012, she quickly made a host of connections with the hiphop scene in Brooklyn, including a close relationship with Nelson Mandela, who she met on the street. She released a debut EP Naptime in 2015, and extended a lineage of jazz in her family (a broadcaster father-in-law, a musician grandfather) when she toured with Oakland trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire in 2019, a year that also saw the release of her debut album The Tree Act. In the years that followed, she has released music with producers JWords (Double Down) and Bandela (Really Good), among others.
Her talent for observational detail and evoking inner states with her wordplay have seen her address issues including family relationships, mental health and the Black queer expérience in her music. Her new album Mourning Due addresses the experience of grief, and is released by the Lucid Haus label, of which she is co-founder.

Loma Doom, a true radio veteran and beacon of twisted and mesmerizing sounds. Whether you experience her musical activities or those relating to her contemporary arts practice, curiosity is a key aspect gracing Femke Dekker (real name). As Loma Doom, her signature style revolves around electronic experimentalism, both for mind and movement, seeking the outliers, one that avoids linearity, towards a space where intuition and understanding meet. Actively incorporating styles predating the computer era, she sources from her fondness for freak folk, psychedelic and hardcore punk. This openness veered Femke into a category of respected deejays in the leftfield underground, having played influential spots such as Salon Des Amateurs, Meakusma and Dekmantel, amongst others. Using radio and archives as her main media, her current focus is on various notions of listening and how listening is actually a call to action.

i-sha is Bristol-based DJ, a resident at Noods radio and for the party and imprint Accidental Meetings. Over the last few years, i-sha has been able to develop her own musical style, warping through dubwise pressure and scuzzy textural realms merged with experimental electronics.
Sitting between dizzying frenetic sounds and slower, deeper hypnotics which you can hear in her recent mix for Fact Mag and the live recording from her closing set at Accidental Meetings back in November last year.

Slowfoam is Madelyn Byrd’s catch-all, genre-spanning moniker that they DJ, produce, and perform under. Playfully and tenderly, they build glitched-out, swirling soundscapes from drones, sparkling ambiance, fuzzy poetics, field recordings, and textural percussion. Their DJ sets are narrative, sonic journeys that transcend genre, made for both deep-listeners and the occasional dance floor. In each set and mix, they focus on maintaining an experimental alchemy of playfulness, discomfort, levity, and sentimentality.

MORWAN is a project by Kyiv musician Alex Ashtawi. Morwan is a rhythmic fast-paced punk with elements
of folk and ethno music.
The tracks combine the rhythmic basis of post-punk with Arabic and Slavic motifs. Fast, dark, original and
even ritual music.
The project was launched in 2019. During its existence, two albums were released, namely: “Ubila Mogila” (2019) and “Zola-Zemlya” (2020).
The flourishing Eastern European post-punk scene has given way to a boom of dark, rhythmic, and powerful new activity.
Morgan became one of the most original and captivating artists to recently emerge from this scene is Kyiv.
Searching for a new direction, Ashtaui circled back to his half-Ukrainian, half-Arab roots, arriving at the perfect crossroads – a sonic aesthetic informed by both ethnic tradition
and the familiar territory of dark,
driving post-punk.
