For this special edition, Algoymstica invites the netlabel ETAT.xyz for an evening of abstract sound, emotional alienation, dissociative and psychoacoustic computer music. The sonorities of the two artists from the label (Jung An Tagen and RM Francis) will be juxtaposed with the performative sound art of Mariana Carvalho and the radical interdisciplinary approach of GETÖSEFÖHN (aka Rica Pinu). Algomystica is an event series focused on experimental performance practices merging a broad range of scope and interests, spanning from computer music, to free improvisation, augmented and prepared acoustic instruments, live coding, circuit bending and everything in between.

In her first monologue “Ami aus Versehen” she talks about her experience of growing up as a boy in the US, moving to Berlin as an adult, her transition as a trans woman and what it means to feel “in-between” in a tense political time.
