Our next meeting will be on May 10th. Akkamiau, who was on our female:pressure panel in January, will be giving a presentation or her work as a producer, creating sound compositions for audiovisual performaces by Stratofyzika.
Akkamiau is an audiovisual artist, experimental musician, performer, concept writer and art event manager and coordinator, resident in Berlin. She has a Ph.D. in audiovisual performance and has been art director and coordinator of numerous projects, festivals, and audioviual shows. She recently launched an experimental techno project hiT͟Hərˈto͞o, (phonetic transcription of hitherto) and has releases on female:pressure, Decadence recordings, SPRINGSTOFF, and Establishment records.
