Disko International #21 with MENDA

The DISKO INTERNATIONAL – a safe place for dancing to good music from all over the world. For Everyone. All Night Long. Funk | Tropical | Rare Groove | Afro | Reggae | Dub | Disco | Boogie | Soul from East, West, North, South and all the places and spaces in between. ***

It’s a Spring Ting!! All posse all crew, end of März the Disko International is once again in session at our fav (and recently sound boosted) Panke Club up north. For this session we recruit recent NYC transplant MENDA to treat us with some absolute gold from his deep and expansive record collection.

Menda’s first musical influence was the rhythm of sidewalk games on the streets of Brooklyn, NY.  An eclectic selector and multi-instrumentalist, he focuses on raw global sounds which remain underappreciated. Menda compiled his record collection from extensive travels through Asia, Latin America and the United States where he has consistently unearthed fresh musical obscurities for the dance floor.  He has worked as a supplier to some of New York’s best record stores and recently held the position of head resident DJ at Mao Mao Brooklyn.

Help us shake out the winter dust, cut some shapes and vibe up the area. D.I team Lucky Loop, Soulix & Kava providing extra music, Palm reading and alternative dance routines.
