ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
panke.gallery will host the release of REALITYBYTES, a web-browser plugin that substitutes images and photographs within news articles on websites like cnn.com and thesun.com with AI-generated counterparts. The plugin blurs the boundary between AI-created and human-created images, delivering results that are both uncanny and humorous. At the same time, it provides a stark insight into the racism and biases deeply ingrained within AI, spotlighting AI’s growing influence on image perception and representation. Next to this, a broadcast entirely authored by an artificial intelligence will be presented. The presentation not only probes the ethics and reliability of AI-generated content but also challenges us to question the integrity of the content we habitually consume in this AI-dominated period.

ARTIST
Lotte Louise de Jong is a media artist from the Netherlands with a background in film-making. Her work is research-based and ranges from physical, digital and online installations to more traditional forms of narrative. Her practice addresses how we, as a society, view and shape our identity through mediated spaces like the digital world. The internet as a space for exploring intimacy has been the main focus of her past projects. She obtained a master’s degree in Fine Art and Design at the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam in 2019. In 2020 she received an emerging artist grant from the Mondriaan Fonds.

Can you hear it? Can you feel it? It`s time for midweek DISKO again! After a relaxing summer hiatus we’re ready to calm down the heat and celebrate life, love and community through music. Fall through and shake your legs to the most unique genre bending party in Berlin-Wedding aka DISKO INTERNATIONAL. This time we team up with our well known friends DJ QUIEN and RADIO VAMPIRO.

RADIO VAMPIRO is the Berlin-based project of Beto, músic selector, DJ, radio host, psychologist, and cultural curator originally from El Salvador. A resident at Cashmere Radio and host of regular shows on other independent radio stations, he is known for eclectic DJ sets spanning house, breaks, electro, disco, and Latin American rhythms such as Latin soul, cumbia, salsa, reggae en español, and other tropical and psychedelic sounds. He has performed at clubs and festivals across Europe and Latin America, while also exploring the musical heritage of Central America and Latin America through radio shows, listening sessions, and archival research, creating connections between dance music, cultural memory, and community.

DJ QUIEN, Born in La Paz, Bolivia, has been DJing for 25+ years, delving into a diverse array of musical genres. His exploration has taken him from the captivating and elusive rhythms of Cumbia, funk, soul, disco, and boogie to the throbbing electronic beats, often delving into the depths of bass-heavy sounds. Throughout his journey, he’s incorporated elements of turntablism, resulting in a versatile and dynamic range of musical experiences. DJ Quien masterfully blends the artistic with the technical, delivering electrifying dance floors and leaving audiences in a state of wonder.
He is co-founder of the Oi Mas Bass label and collective, spearheaded the creation of the South American digital arts festival Kiebre, won the Soul Side HCMC Scratch Battle and became Sample Music Festivals Portablism Champion in 2025. His involvement further extends to Berlin’s Bassism Crew and the international CRISP Collective.
