Daada is the soul-imbued pop project of German-Colombian singer songwriter, Maike Kusserow. Raised in Tanzania by a Colombian mother and German father, her soul, lyrics and music has always spanned three continents; thriving on juxtapositions of language, culture and mentality. Her pseudonym “Daada” pays homage to the Swahili word for “sister”, speaking to her passion for sisterhood and female empowerment.
