From April 2010 to March 2011 every time Martin Kohout watched any YouTube video he captured himself and published it to the YouTube channel „Watching Martin Kohout“, now containing 821 videos. An installation oft he videos will be hosted by Panke.gallery and captured in itself to be archived.

Indispensable Blue is an offline dance as well as a desktop poem. It is a title that has hosted multiple inquiries – performance, screenshot recordings, writings – around the question of what might be a poetics of usership. It is a desktop dance evading the choreographic clutch of the user interface. It is a poem burrowing in the folders unfolding.

Coquetta flourishes in a sardonic cosmetic beautifying ritual, amongst dandizectric’ discords and modified ‘pink-taxed’ items. The desired flawless looks unveil their poisonous essence; lead and arsenic being one of the all-time favorite chemical compounds used in makeup. The step-by-step body preparation occurs as a rhythmical daily toilette routine. Hair combing, moisturizing, scrubbing, eyelash curling, eye-shadowing, powder-puffing, lipstick application, and other sounding manoeuvres get chiseled by control voltages. The buzzes of the body appearance altering devices blend inside of the to-go wig boxes and other flirtatious velvet gizmos soldered merely from trash finds.
