In May we return to Panke for a night of diasporic dancefloor mutations. This time, we wanted to bring together artists pushing Latin American dancefloor languages beyond nostalgia, purity or easy categorisation. Cumbia, tribal, guaracha and reggaeton appear here as living materials: stretched through noise, glitches, dreamy landscapes and hard-hitting club pressure, while staying rooted in the ritual spirit of the dancefloor. The night will feature the Berlin debut of Atosigado. Originally from Tijuana and currently based in Hermosillo, Sonora, Atosigado has quickly become one of the most exciting names in the Latin electronic underground during the last few years. Across a long catalogue of mind-bending self-releases, Atosigado has developed a highly personal sound where Mexican tribal, guaracha and cumbia collide with noise, fractured club forms and raw dancefloor pressure. We are very happy to host him during his first European tour. Alongside him, CANDIE brings cathartic blends of cumbia, trance, hardcore percussion and dream pop, shaped by Latin American horror imagery and 2000s synth-pop sensibilities, and m13ld3m0r4’s live performance will summon hyperpop-cumbiaton, distorted noisepop and screamcore exorcisms through voice, body and noise. Congratulations—you’ve made it halfway through the week. Time for a treat! Join us on Wednesday, 27 May, as we once again transform the Bar at Panke into the DISKO INTERNATIONAL. Step away for a bit, recharge on the dancefloor, and head home feeling good. Bringing warm vibrations through the speakers and onto the floor: DJ ALLYNX. With a penchant for funk polyrhythms, bona fide body shakers, and all things good and groovy. You may have caught her at a DISKO in December 2024, taking over the big floor—keeping your feet moving and your soul fulfilled. This time, we’re excited to see what she brings to our midweek dance! ALLYNX has played at multiple venues, radio shows, festivals, jams and warms up the crowd at Club Gretchen regularly for various concerts. Allynx has also co-hosted the “OhShitF*ckYes” parties, started teaching her own dance classes, and supported and collaborated with different collectives such as FemJamCollective and many more. LAST RESORT celebrates its second anniversary with another night focusing on evolving forms of club music across different scenes and geographies, bringing together artists operating at the intersection of rhythm-driven experimentation and dancefloor functionality. Mun Sing, the Bristol-based producer, presents an approach that combines warped vocals, fractured rhythms and theatrical structures into playful and fiercely original dance music. Not to miss is the first ever Berlin performance by jaijiu, an Argentinian audiovisual artist known for distinctive vision that reimagines the folklore through a broken lens – ‘carnival sounds shattered with a hammer’ might sum it up best. Mobilegirl, a club scene stalwart, will make a long-awaited appearance at Last Resort with her dancefloor-focused mix seamlessly weaving different genres while Egyptian DJ Rama will bring a dynamic, high-tension selection revolving around dense percussive sounds. Last but not least, Dengue Dengue Dengue return to Panke with a batch of exciting new material to be released throughout this year.
